John has successfully implemented a number of consumer focused projects with the likes of Talent Consulting, Google, Fulltilt Bwin, Digicel, IBM Health Excel, , 888Sports& Poker, BMC software, & Sun Microsystem. He has been working for the past two years in the African market as a consultant and solutions expert in the tech industry in Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Zambia, Uganda and a few other countries. This has involved working with operators to develop GTM( Go To Market Strategy) and also helping regulators to develop an enabling environment for the gaming sector. His experience also extends to conference speaking. He has been a speaker at a number of gaming conferences and a member of the Africa panel at the WRB worldwide. John started his career in the tech & telecoms space in the mid nineties. Working for a number of international brands in Sales, Marketing and customer acquisition strategies. Some of the companies he worked for include, Digicel in Jamaica, O2 Ireland, BMC software and Google to name a few. His role had a strong focus on profitability and growth, and he was able to direct, motivate and inspire multi-disciplinary and culturally organization in various parts of the world to achieving their revenue targets. John is exceptionally strong in the areas of market acquisition, gtm and consumer marketing.Startup & Initiatives
John has also acquired experience in the startup space and has worked with a number of startup organizations in various roles. He co-founded Spadesocial an online content solution company. He had his first major exit in 2012 after a major gaming company acquired the company. He also worked with Start-up bootcamp Ireland to help tech companies develop their solutions and raise funds. After moving back to Africa, john has worked with the government on a number of projects related to start-ups in the Agriculture, Education, Hospitality and Technology.
John is also connected in various sectors in government in a number of East and West African countries.
